The Grammy Awards is an annual music award show that recognizes achievements in the music industry. The 59th annual Grammy’s will be broadcast February 12th, 2017 on CBS and will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The show will be hosted by James Corden and several other stars will make appearances as performers and nominees. Performers at the Grammy’s include Keith Urban, John Legend, the band Metallica, and Carrie Underwood. A survey was conducted to see who NCDS thinks should win in four different categories. About 75 people participated in the survey, so thank you to everyone who shared their thoughts! In the Song of the Year category, Formation by Beyoncé won by one vote with Hello by Adele coming in as the runner-up. For the Album of the Year award, NCDS voted Lemonade by Beyoncé the winner, with Purpose by Justin Bieber coming in at a close second, and 25 by Adele and Views by Drake tying for fourth. For the Best New Artist category, the Chainsmokers won by a landslide, receiving 60% of the votes. Chance the Rapper came in as runner-up, earning almost 30% of the votes. In the last category, Best Pop Solo Performance, Hello by Adele won and Dangerous Woman by Ariana Grande came in second. Be sure to tune into CBS to watch the Grammy’s on February 12th at 5 pm!
