These bath bombs are perfect for celebrating Valentine’s Day and smell really good. I have copied and pasted the directions below from http://acultivatednest.com/2016/12/heart-shaped-bath-bombs/. Don’t be afraid to try to use a non-heart shape mold. Enjoy!

Directions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ½ cup of baking soda, ½ cup of citric acid, and ¼ cup of cornstarch and mix well.
  2. Add a couple drops of pink food coloring to your bowl and mix with your fingertips (the liquid will ball up in the dry mixture).
  3. Add your therapeutic grade essential oil drops (about 4 or 5) and mix with your fingertips again.
  4. Heat ¼ cup of melted coconut oil in the microwave for about 20 seconds (be careful as coconut oil heats very fast).
  5. Add a little coconut oil at a time and mix with a fork.
  6. Once all of your coconut oil is added, your mixtures should feel like damp sand.
  7. Start filling silicone mold with your mixture, making sure to press the damp mixture firmly into the molds.
  8. Let dry overnight, then turn your mold upside down and carefully pop them out.

Rose Lotion

Treat yourself for Valentine’s Day this year. Along with some bath bombs, make some lotion. These lotion bars are really silky and fairly easy. On this link there are more recipes including chocolate lotion bars and lavender lotion bars. Below, I have written up the recipe for rose lotion bars.

Turn a stove or hot pad at medium heat and place a sauce pan on top. Add 1 cup of coconut oil, ½ cup of shea butter, 1 ½ cup of beeswax and stir until melted. Add rose or geranium essential oil to liking, stir and take off heat. In silicone cupcake mold, add rose petals, if desired, and pour your mixture in evenly. Let cool or refrigerate for 10 minutes. Un-mold your lotion and enjoy. For storage, store in a cool dry place.
