The countdown is underway, as semi is just around the corner. Girls are snatching guests left and right. Belmont Hill, Sebs, CM or Xaverian, or even going solo, the choices are endless. Either way, you are bound to have an amazing time at semi. Semi is a great way to socialize and have fun with people in all grades, as well as those outside the school community. Aside from the Wii, the night is filled with dancing, snacking, and taking pictures. And don’t forget our top of the line DJ! If this is your first NCDS semi or even your fourth, there are some things to remember… First, make sure you know your guests name before you have to introduce him/her to the assembly line. Avoid the awkwardness, it is uncomfortable for you, your date, and the teacher you are introducing him/her to. Second, make sure you dress appropriately, only clothes you want your teachers seeing you in. Nobody wants to be dress coded at semi, so don’t let poor outfit choice ruin your night. Thirdly, arrive on time. Once the clock strikes 8:30, the doors close, no exceptions. So make sure to make arrangements to be on time. If your not through the door by 8:30, your semi dreams will be over. Fourthly, if you are wearing heels, we recommend you bring a pair of shoes to change into. It is quite difficult to dance in heels, so if you plan on dancing, bring something more comfortable. In past years, many people brought a pair of sneakers, but they aren’t a necessity. Lastly, have fun! Dance the night away from 8:30 to 10:30 this Friday! So get your outfit, shoes, hair, and makeup ready… because semi is just a few hours away! This year is going to be the best one yet.
