Varsity Field Hockey has had an amazing, yet interesting season thus far. With many injuries and illnesses at the beginning of the season, the team was unsure about their future success. Despite these obstacles, the team has an amazing record of 5-1. The team had a sweet victory over Dana Hall, especially since it was the first time in a few years that they didn’t have to go into overtime. The final score at the Dana game was 2-1 and ended with all the Newton fans storming the field, jumping into a massive pig pile. The team had their first lost recently, falling to Winsor 4-1. With only a couple of games left in the season, the team is determined to make it to the EIL tournament, hoping for a rematch against Winsor.
