In honor of the holiday, here is a list of ten easy and fun Thanksgiving themed desserts!

Oreo Turkeys:

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

30 candy corn candies, plus 6 white tips of candy corn

6 chocolate sandwich cookies

6 mini peanut butter cups

6 malt balls

1 cup Red Frosting

6 chocolate sandwich cookies with top cookies removed


Spiced Thanksgiving Sugar Cookies:

1 cup granulated sugar

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Fine salt

12 tablespoons (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, cut into small pieces, at room temperature

1 large egg, lightly beaten

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

2 tablespoons meringue powder

One 1-pound box confectioners’ sugar (3 3/4 to 4 cups)

Food coloring, as desired


Turkey Tail Cupcakes:

One 15.25-ounce box chocolate cake mix, plus required ingredients

2 1/2 ounces white melting candy (a heaping 1/3 cup)

3 ounces yellow melting candy (1/2 cup)

3 ounces orange melting candy (1/2 cup)

3 ounces red melting candy (1/2 cup)

Two 16-ounce tubs chocolate frosting

24 milk chocolate drop candies, such as Hershey’s Kisses

24 miniature twist pretzels


Marshmallow Mini Cupcakes:

2 medium sweet potatoes (about 12 ounces)

Cooking spray

18 marshmallows

1 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon fine salt

Pinch cayenne pepper
