Too Hot to Handle Review

Too Hot To Handle was pretty entertaining, especially during quarantine. I don’t know if I liked the show because I was just bored or if it was actually good, but it was a good way to pass the time. THTH was released on the 17th of April very unexpectedly. I had never heard of it until I was scrolling through new shows to watch on Netflix. THTH is about a group of single people facing off to win $100,000. The catch is…. they can’t have any physical relationships with one another. All the singles have to stay just friends with one another, and if they break any rules showing more than just friends, they will lose money.

Okay, so this show at first seems like it would be full of drama and a hit. However, how will we know who wins? Are they being judged on how nice they are to each other, or who loses the least amount of money? It was pretty entertaining to watch but as the show went on, the singles Francesca and Harry would constantly break the rules. It was fine the first couple of times, but then it was like come on guys, seriously?

To me, the show seemed like an off-brand Love Island. This show is good for passing time, but it definitely should not get an award. The “challenges” were not challenges; they would pair people up and just have them share their feelings. The producers could’ve done way more to spice up the show. And don’t even get me started on the ending! THEY ALL WON?!?! HOW?! The ending made me very disappointed. How did they all win? I would rate this a 4/10 for the drama and comedy, but it needs a better ending in the future seasons.
